Which boot construction is right for you?

Not every job has the same demands - and not every boot is built the same way. The Vastbinder boot comes in two constructions. Learn which one is right for you.

Cemented Construction

Cemented Construction

Cemented boots use a high-strength adhesive to bond the sole directly to the upper part of the boot. That means less break-in time, more flexibility, and less weight on your feet. Perfect if you’re on the move all day and need comfort right out of the box.
Welted Construction

Welted Construction

Welted boots use a durable, resoleable Goodyear welt construction - a method where the upper is stitched to the sole with a tough leather welt. That stitch creates a stable, hard-wearing bond that holds up on the most demanding jobsites. These boots are fully waterproof and ultra-durable, built with an extra midsole layer for added support, and made to go the distance - shift after shift.

"Boots are true to fit. i like that there is no break in needed. They come comfortable right out of the box. This is my 5th pair from Brunt. A few different styles. Like them all. I was always a Red Wings guy but Brunt is my go to now."

When he’s not on the bull, Eli Vastbinder is home in Statesville, NC working hard on his ranch. Ever since we started working with Eli we’ve discussed developing a square toe boot with him that delivers all-day comfort without sacrificing durability or performance. Eli is one of the toughest guys I’ve ever met, and our team loved the challenge of building a boot that is as tough as he is. Durable, waterproof, and built with BRUNT CUSH’N® insoles, this boot can tackle whatever you throw at it - just like Eli. - Eric Girouard, Founder & CEO

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The primary benefit of a square toe boot is the increased comfort it provides due to a wider toe box, allowing for more room for your toes to spread out naturally. Great for people with wide feet or who need to be on their feet for long periods of time; making them ideal for ranch work or everyday wear where comfort is prioritized.

BRUNT builds comfort into every inch of our boots. Our signature triple-layer BRUNT CUSH’N® insoles feature a nonstick top layer, a memory foam midlayer, and a cushy bottom layer - and our new BRUNT CUSH’N® midsole provides even more lightweight cushioning, and up to 30% energy return.

All of our safety toe boots come with an innovative nano composite design that provides a great fit, is 15% lighter than steel, and does not conduct heat or cold. It’s a more comfortable alternative that meets a variety of ASTM ratings for safety and durability.

All of our waterproof boots feature a two-part system that consists of a premium waterproof leather sourced from USA steer and an interior waterproof bootie that locks out moisture.

Our boots are built from barnyard-resistant FARMGUARD™ leather that locks out rain, mud, oil, piss, and sh*t - while resisting the damaging effects of harsh chemicals like oleic acid, urea, sodium chloride, and ammonium hydroxide. This additional protection creates a more durable boot that withstands tough jobsite conditions and lasts longer.

    boots

The boots are great but adding a cap cover like your other style of boots would be amazing, I work in the Oil field and there are a lot of things in the ground which you may accidentally kick or scrap by.

    Most comfy high-top boot ever

These boots are very comfortable and feel like lifelong boots. I have several boots that cost much more and carry a more well-known brand name for boots, but these have quickly become my number one.
