It comes equipped with a slip-, oil-, and high-heat-resistant outsole, a proprietary waterproof membrane to keep your feet dry, and our BRUNT FARMGUARD™ leather to extend the life of your boots while repelling rain, mud, oil, piss, and sh*t. And just like our other Marin boots, this boot brings next-level comfort to the jobsite thanks to the triple-padded ankle collar, our signature CUSH’N® insole system, and an ultra-cushioned PU midsole.

Matt Marin is one of my first childhood friends and the namesake for one of our bestselling boots. At a young age he joined a carpenter’s union and was quickly promoted to foreman. The Marin 6” Welted Waterproof (Soft Toe) boot is built from leathers sourced from U.S. steer - the highest quality hides available. At 2 lb. 3 oz (size 9) with a welted construction, it delivers premium, durable materials without the extra bulk.

Our leather is a natural material that develops natural wear over time. How your boots age depends on your work environment and how you care for them. We recommend BRUNT’s Leather Conditioner to help you get the most out of your work boots. This proprietary blend of mink oil, beeswax, and natural additives protects and extends the life of your leather. The mink oil replenishes natural oils, while the beeswax seals them in and adds a barrier against scuffs and tough jobsite conditions. For best results, apply with our 100% horsehair brush - built for precise cleaning and conditioning.

Because of their reinforced build, welted boots are built to take a beating and they provide a higher degree of stabilization for your foot and ankle which makes navigating uneven footing much easier. And because of the mechanical bond created in the welting process, a Goodyear welt has best-in-class waterproofing, plus a resoleable design that allows you to replace the outsole to extend the overall life of the boot.

When it comes to a welted boot, think uneven terrain and unpredictable conditions. A welted boot is incredibly durable by nature and is best suited for heavy-duty jobs. To name a few specific trades who would benefit from a welted boot: road workers, commercial builders, pipefitting and welding, resource extraction, railroad, linemen, and waste workers.

A Goodyear welted work boot features an additional midsole layer that’s built into the boot to create torsional rigidity for additional stability and durability. This welt is formed by connecting the upper part of a shoe to the midsole of the shoe in a three step process: stapling the upper to the insole, stitching the upper to the insole, and then stitching the upper and the midsole together. This physical entanglement of fibers creates a very strong mechanical bond between the two main parts of the shoe, and provides a very durable build with a high degree of waterproofness. It also allows the outsole of the boot to be replaced—or “resoled”—after extended periods of hard use.

    Best. ****. Boot, Period!

    I have suffered for the last couple of years with planters fasciitis. I am a barber, so the hardest, physical part of my job is just standing for 8-10 hours. I had tried every “specialty “ shoe designed for planters fasciitis, but they didn’t bring the relief I needed. One day a client came in and began singing the praises of Brunt Boots. For 45 minutes straight, he brag on the comfort durability and out of the box relief he felt when he put these boots on. So while he was talking, I ordered my first pair of Brunt Boots. I now own five pairs. I think I have a problem, but I can guarantee you this. It ain’t that **** plantar fasciitis anymore thanks for creating a boot for the working man that crosses over to the Barbershop and any area in between if you’re suffering with plantar fasciitis forget the specialty shoes that you’ll pay twice the amount of money for and order your first pair of Brunt Boots I especially like the lace-up Marin soft toe insulated. Cheers!
