We caught up with Eli Vastbinder about life off-the-bull and his new Vastbinder boot at his home ranch in Statesville, NC.
So far love the boots! Seem to be holding up. Comfortable, light on my foot. A little bit hard to get on but it ok. I think they are going to hold up. I haul gas and I stand and walk in all kinds of conditions I’m going to beat the **** out them and wear them on dates. lol.
Hand these boots for a year now and could not be happier with them from the first time putting them on to now still just as comfortable never had a problem hurting my feet and they also hold up supper well one of the best pair of boots ever worn would highly recommend these boots
Over the last several years, I have become disheartened by the thought Of Purchasing new shoes/boots. Everything out there just seems like such a low quality waste of money. I came to terms with buying these $50 work boots from Walmart that would last about three months before they were completely shot. Then Brunt found me. I was immediately impressed by the quality and sturdiness of the Marin boot that I said I would never buy from any other manufacturer. Three weeks ago, an extremely careless person Ran me over with a Chevy pick-up truck. Long story, short, that left me unable to bend over in order to tie my shoes. Not only do the Vastbinder boots look great, feel rugged and sturdy and offer me the support that I need but they are able to slip easily on and off my feet whenever I need them too. I was never in a position like this before in my life that such a simple task as putting on shoes is currently an impossibility. These boots have allowed me to maintain a little slice of independence and dignity. I’ll tell anybody out there who might be on the fence about buying any of these boots from Brunt, you will not find a more solid, high-quality, well-made boot anywhere at this price point. With care these will outlast anything available five times over.
Holy jumping jimmidy, these boots are AWESOME. Just arrived today and there’s no doubt that these are quality boots and easy to slip on/off. This is the best present she’s gotten me yet!!
I really like the boots
The primary benefit of a square toe boot is the increased comfort it provides due to a wider toe box, allowing for more room for your toes to spread out naturally. Great for people with wide feet or who need to be on their feet for long periods of time; making them ideal for ranch work or everyday wear where comfort is prioritized.
BRUNT builds comfort into every inch of our boots. Our signature triple-layer BRUNT CUSH’N® insoles feature a nonstick top layer, a memory foam midlayer, and a cushy bottom layer - and our new BRUNT CUSH’N® midsole provides even more lightweight cushioning, and up to 30% energy return.
Because of their reinforced build, welted boots are built to take a beating and they provide a higher degree of stabilization for your foot and ankle which makes navigating uneven footing much easier. And because of the mechanical bond created in the welting process, a Goodyear welt has best-in-class waterproofing, plus a resoleable design that allows you to replace the outsole to extend the overall life of the boot.
When it comes to a welted boot, think uneven terrain and unpredictable conditions. A welted boot is incredibly durable by nature and is best suited for heavy-duty jobs. To name a few specific trades who would benefit from a welted boot: road workers, commercial builders, pipefitting and welding, resource extraction, railroad, linemen, and waste workers.
A Goodyear welted work boot features an additional midsole layer that’s built into the boot to create torsional rigidity for additional stability and durability. This welt is formed by connecting the upper part of a shoe to the midsole of the shoe in a three step process: stapling the upper to the insole, stitching the upper to the insole, and then stitching the upper and the midsole together. This physical entanglement of fibers creates a very strong mechanical bond between the two main parts of the shoe, and provides a very durable build with a high degree of waterproofness. It also allows the outsole of the boot to be replaced—or “resoled”—after extended periods of hard use.
