The Mulder 6” Welted Waterproof (Comp Toe) keeps you sure-footed on the most demanding jobsites. It features a resoleable Goodyear welt construction, and comes equipped with a slip- and oil-resistant TPU outsole, and a fully waterproof design. The Mulder features barnyard-resistant BRUNT FARMGUARD™ leather that repels rain, mud, oil, piss, and sh*t, and keeps your feet dry. This workhorse also has all the comfort you’ve come to expect from a BRUNT boot - including a triple-padded ankle collar, our signature BRUNT CUSH’N® insole system, and an ultra-cushioned PU midsole.

Andy Mulder is a hardscape business owner based out of northwest Indiana where he and his crew are moving acres of earth every day and hardscaping some of the most valuable properties in the midwest. Since he was 15, Andy has pulled on a pair of welted work boots every morning before heading to work, and with that much first-hand experience, we knew he was the right guy to collaborate with on our first ever welted boot design. We recommend BRUNT’s Leather Conditioner to help you get the most out of your work boots. This proprietary blend of mink oil, beeswax, and natural additives protects and extends the life of your leather. The mink oil replenishes natural oils, while the beeswax seals them in and adds a barrier against scuffs and tough jobsite conditions. For best results, apply with our 100% horsehair brush - built for precise cleaning and conditioning.

Because of their reinforced build, welted boots are built to take a beating and they provide a higher degree of stabilization for your foot and ankle which makes navigating uneven footing much easier. And because of the mechanical bond created in the welting process, a Goodyear welt has best-in-class waterproofing, plus a resoleable design that allows you to replace the outsole to extend the overall life of the boot.

When it comes to a welted boot, think uneven terrain and unpredictable conditions. A welted boot is incredibly durable by nature and is best suited for heavy-duty jobs. To name a few specific trades who would benefit from a welted boot: road workers, commercial builders, pipefitting and welding, resource extraction, railroad, linemen, and waste workers.

A Goodyear welted work boot features an additional midsole layer that’s built into the boot to create torsional rigidity for additional stability and durability. This welt is formed by connecting the upper part of a shoe to the midsole of the shoe in a three step process: stapling the upper to the insole, stitching the upper to the insole, and then stitching the upper and the midsole together. This physical entanglement of fibers creates a very strong mechanical bond between the two main parts of the shoe, and provides a very durable build with a high degree of waterproofness. It also allows the outsole of the boot to be replaced—or “resoled”—after extended periods of hard use.

    Frist time trying your boots

    They are definitely wider than any other boot I've had. So far they are working out good after 3 months. I wish they were offered in black.

    The Mulder

    I bought the Moulder Comp Toe about two months ago. This is the best pair of boots I have ever owned. My feet were constantly hurting and after two months my feet are feeling great again. My only complaint is the boot laces are starting to fray a little where the hooks are.

    Well worth the money.

    Worth every penny!

    Best waterproof boots iv ever had! Im a mixer driver. Power and concrete are hard on boots. Had these a year now. Never have i had a pair of boots last a year. And every pair of boots iv had that are waterproof leak the second they crack. These pair have been cracked for 6 months i took great care of them for the first 6 months with leather care and once a pair cracks i stop cuz they start to leak anyway. These still dont leak or let in water and i havent taken care of them in 6 montsh. 1 year later still comfy and still waterproof! My only complaint is they dont seel this mulder welted waterproof comp toe in black anymore... amazing boot! Over exceeded my expectations!

    Great boots

    I recently decided to try something different than the redwing boots I normally buy. After trying a couple different styles of keen boots that hurt my feet horribly I thought I would try brunt. I have to say these are hands down the most comfortable boots out of the box I have ever owned. Normally I have my old boots with me to change into during the break in period. I never had to switch. I wore them for ten hours on the job the first day and a few more when I got home because I didn't want to take them off. I have a wide foot and usually boots are tight at first but not these I didn't even have to take out the inserts to make them wider. They are a little heavy but actually lighter than I expected. After a couple months of wearing them they barely show any wear. I do wish the laces were a little bit longer. Other than that I love these boots and i will be buying another pair when I need them. I have never been happier with a boot purchase. I recommend to everyone.
