The Mulder 6” Welted Waterproof (Comp Toe) keeps you sure-footed on the most demanding jobsites. It features a resoleable Goodyear welt construction, and comes equipped with a slip- and oil-resistant TPU outsole, and a fully waterproof design. The Mulder features barnyard-resistant BRUNT FARMGUARD™ leather that repels rain, mud, oil, piss, and sh*t, and keeps your feet dry. This workhorse also has all the comfort you’ve come to expect from a BRUNT boot - including a triple-padded ankle collar, our signature BRUNT CUSH’N® insole system, and an ultra-cushioned PU midsole.

Andy Mulder is a hardscape business owner based out of northwest Indiana where he and his crew are moving acres of earth every day and hardscaping some of the most valuable properties in the midwest. Since he was 15, Andy has pulled on a pair of welted work boots every morning before heading to work, and with that much first-hand experience, we knew he was the right guy to collaborate with on our first ever welted boot design. We recommend BRUNT’s Leather Conditioner to help you get the most out of your work boots. This proprietary blend of mink oil, beeswax, and natural additives protects and extends the life of your leather. The mink oil replenishes natural oils, while the beeswax seals them in and adds a barrier against scuffs and tough jobsite conditions. For best results, apply with our 100% horsehair brush - built for precise cleaning and conditioning.

Because of their reinforced build, welted boots are built to take a beating and they provide a higher degree of stabilization for your foot and ankle which makes navigating uneven footing much easier. And because of the mechanical bond created in the welting process, a Goodyear welt has best-in-class waterproofing, plus a resoleable design that allows you to replace the outsole to extend the overall life of the boot.

When it comes to a welted boot, think uneven terrain and unpredictable conditions. A welted boot is incredibly durable by nature and is best suited for heavy-duty jobs. To name a few specific trades who would benefit from a welted boot: road workers, commercial builders, pipefitting and welding, resource extraction, railroad, linemen, and waste workers.

A Goodyear welted work boot features an additional midsole layer that’s built into the boot to create torsional rigidity for additional stability and durability. This welt is formed by connecting the upper part of a shoe to the midsole of the shoe in a three step process: stapling the upper to the insole, stitching the upper to the insole, and then stitching the upper and the midsole together. This physical entanglement of fibers creates a very strong mechanical bond between the two main parts of the shoe, and provides a very durable build with a high degree of waterproofness. It also allows the outsole of the boot to be replaced—or “resoled”—after extended periods of hard use.

    Hands down the best

    I am 58 yrs old and a welder fabricator and diesel mechanic. I've owned alot of boots in my lifetime and these are the most durable and comfortablest boots 👢 I've tried,. So comfortable that I bought another pair, I got brown pair and a black pair. I am on my feet moving all day and in harsh environments.. trust me on this. I work 10 or mores hrs a day six days a week. I wouldnt be able to do that if it weren't for brunts boots. I got a horribly painful bunion on side of my right foot from I gonna say from a pair of danner boots.. when I wore those I would only work the minimum amount of hrs because of the pain. I still have the bunion but it not bad when wearing brunt Mulder melted (comp toe) boots. So go on and do urself a favor and buy a couple pairs of these high quality boots before I buy them out.

    This is my second pair of your boots 👍 very happy with them super comfortable and no foot or shin pain , I’m in them almost 24/7 and walk 2 miles a day in them on gravel roads, really nice boots and always tell people about them thank you for your service also !!!!

    Mulder Shoes

    Really, Really like these shoes! From the added spring in my step to the nearly silent step from the sole. This shoe is so much better than my work shoes that have wings on them. Awesome!
