Engineered with a resoleable Goodyear welt construction for additional support and stability, the USA Marin 6” Welted Waterproof (Soft Toe) is an ultra-durable boot built for the most demanding jobsites. It comes equipped with a slip-, oil-, and high-heat-resistant outsole, a proprietary waterproof membrane to keep your feet dry, and our BRUNT FARMGUARD™ leather to extend the life of your boots while repelling rain, mud, oil, piss, and sh*t. THE MARIN STORY

Matt Marin is one of my first childhood friends and the namesake for one of our bestselling boots. At a young age he joined a carpenter’s union and was quickly promoted to foreman. He really appreciated the moc-toe boot style, but was sick of paying a hefty price each time he needed a new pair, and hated the break-in period that came with it. The USA Marin 6” Welted Waterproof (Soft Toe) boot is built from leathers sourced from U.S. steer - the highest quality hides available. At just 2 lb. 1 oz (size 9) with a welted construction, it delivers premium, durable materials without the extra bulk.

We recommend BRUNT’s Leather Conditioner to help you get the most out of your work boots. This proprietary blend of mink oil, beeswax, and natural additives protects and extends the life of your leather. The mink oil replenishes natural oils, while the beeswax seals them in and adds a barrier against scuffs and tough jobsite conditions. For best results, apply with our 100% horsehair brush - built for precise cleaning and conditioning.

What types of jobs are welted boots best for?

When it comes to a welted boot, think uneven terrain and unpredictable conditions. A welted boot is incredibly durable by nature and is best suited for heavy-duty jobs. To name a few specific trades who would benefit from a welted boot: road workers, commercial builders, pipefitting and welding, resource extraction, railroad, linemen, and waste workers.

What is a welted or Goodyear welted boot?

A Goodyear welted work boot features an additional midsole layer that’s built into the boot to create torsional rigidity for additional stability and durability. This welt is formed by connecting the upper part of a shoe to the midsole of the shoe in a three step process: stapling the upper to the insole, stitching the upper to the insole, and then stitching the upper and the midsole together. This physical entanglement of fibers creates a very strong mechanical bond between the two main parts of the shoe, and provides a very durable build with a high degree of waterproofness. It also allows the outsole of the boot to be replaced—or “resoled”—after extended periods of hard use.

I really like the comfort of these boots! Only problem are the soles are just a tad slick in my work place. I work in a butter manufacturing facility and you can imagine the slickness. A grip that are on Dewalt slip proof boots are ideal.

Marin is awesome!
My husband absolutely loves these boots. He is a welder/welding supervisor and is on his feet for 12 hours a day at work and then a few more after hes home and he says they are so comfortable. We have tried so so many over the years and spent alot of money on different brands. Our grandson swears by your boots and told us to give them a try. Couldn't hurt right? We are so glad we did!!
