Engineered with a resoleable Goodyear welt construction for additional support and stability, the Marin 8” Welted Waterproof (Comp Toe) is an ultra-durable boot built for the most demanding jobsites. It comes equipped with a nano composite safety toe, a slip-, oil-, and high-heat-resistant outsole, and an extra tall 8” build. Plus, it features a proprietary waterproof membrane that keeps your feet dry and our BRUNT FARMGUARD™ leather that extends the life of your boots while repelling rain, mud, oil, piss, and sh*t. Matt Marin is one of my first childhood friends and the namesake for one of our bestselling boots. At a young age he joined a carpenter’s union and was quickly promoted to foreman. The Marin 8” Welted Waterproof (Comp Toe) is a heavy-duty boot built from leathers sourced from U.S. steer - the highest quality hides available. At 2 lb. 7 oz (size 9) with a welted construction, it delivers premium, durable materials without the extra bulk.

Our leather is a natural material that develops natural wear over time. How your boots age depends on your work environment and how you care for them. We recommend BRUNT’s Leather Conditioner to help you get the most out of your work boots. This proprietary blend of mink oil, beeswax, and natural additives protects and extends the life of your leather. The mink oil replenishes natural oils, while the beeswax seals them in and adds a barrier against scuffs and tough jobsite conditions. For best results, apply with our 100% horsehair brush - built for precise cleaning and conditioning.

Because of their reinforced build, welted boots are built to take a beating and they provide a higher degree of stabilization for your foot and ankle which makes navigating uneven footing much easier. And because of the mechanical bond created in the welting process, a Goodyear welt has best-in-class waterproofing, plus a resoleable design that allows you to replace the outsole to extend the overall life of the boot.

When it comes to a welted boot, think uneven terrain and unpredictable conditions. A welted boot is incredibly durable by nature and is best suited for heavy-duty jobs. To name a few specific trades who would benefit from a welted boot: road workers, commercial builders, pipefitting and welding, resource extraction, railroad, linemen, and waste workers.

A Goodyear welted work boot features an additional midsole layer that’s built into the boot to create torsional rigidity for additional stability and durability. This welt is formed by connecting the upper part of a shoe to the midsole of the shoe in a three step process: stapling the upper to the insole, stitching the upper to the insole, and then stitching the upper and the midsole together. This physical entanglement of fibers creates a very strong mechanical bond between the two main parts of the shoe, and provides a very durable build with a high degree of waterproofness. It also allows the outsole of the boot to be replaced—or “resoled”—after extended periods of hard use.

    This is my 4th pair of brunt boots and I can't say enough of how tough these boots are. This pair has finally given it up after 22 months of absolute every day abuse from me. No other boot has lasted this long for me, usually not even a year. I wear them every day and their life on my feet are not easy. Construction and farming, often covered in a foreign substance of some kind of mud. I just can't say enough about how much I like these boots. On top of being tough they are comfortable, have never hurt my feet. Thanks t the great people at brunt, keep up the good work, I appreciate you all.

    Good comfort

    Boots arrived quickly after I returned the first pair due to a mix up on the first order.

    Started wearing them on a weekend instead of right away on a work day. They broke in quickly and was able to wear them all day long on road maintenance construction on day 3 with minimal discomfort. Other boots I was switching midday back to my old pair to finish the rest of the day.
