: Old-school work jackets stuck around for so long because they’re tough enough to protect you on the job and they’re a long-standing part of the tradesman’s tradition. But we’ve come a long way since they first stepped on the jobsite, and our design team knew it was time to put some much-needed innovation into the time-honored style. The Scott is crafted from our pre-washed BRUNT Stretch Canvas that offers a more flexible and broken-in feel than standard canvas. It has a full-zip collar to keep the cold out, and a design that’s ideal for layering a hoodie underneath. The inner is lined with quilted insulation to keep you plenty warm, and it’s decked out with technical features—like our BRUNT Action Back and industry-leading DWR coating—that the old-guard styles have been missing for years.
: Our guy Roy Scott is all about bringing back the old-school ways to the present day. He spent a number of years as an engineer in Washington state before pursuing a masters in Recreation Administration. Roy’s love for nature and outdoor exploration lead him to take up axe restoration in his spare time. But folks became obsessed with his work, and he was eventually able to set up a shop restoring old American axes full-time in Warsaw, Kentucky. : To keep your jacket looking and performing its best, we recommend machine washing in cold water with similar colors and tumble drying on low. Do not use bleach, avoid the use of fabric softener, and cool iron if needed. Do not dry clean.
