WORK BOOTS

WE MAKE IT LIKE IT'S FOR OUR BUDDIES. BECAUSE IT IS.

Posted on: 05 December '24

This product we make is personal for us. It’s for the people we grew up with, and the workers we meet at the garage every Thursday or at job sites or events across the country. It’s for all of you, because we know how hard you grind everyday to build this country and keep the engine running. That’s why we put so much effort into making the best gear on the planet, and why our boots and apparel carry the names of real workers in the trades. You all are our Jordan and Kobe.

Meet the names and faces behind some of BRUNT's bestsellers.

Matt Marin

This is our buddy, and Eric’s childhood friend, Matt Marin. Matt is a Superintendent at Century Drywall, a husband and father, and the name behind our bestselling Marin work boot. Matt loved moc-toe wedge boots, but was sick of paying through the teeth every time he needed a new pair, and hated the sore feet and long break-in period that came with it. We worked with Matt to create a boot that is durable, comfortable out of the box, and packed with all the features he needed on the job.

Lee Ohman

Lee Ohman is a union electrician by day, a self-taught woodworker by night, and the name behind the Ohman boot. Woodworking started out as just a hobby for Lee, but it quickly evolved into a form of therapy after he was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease and he needed an outlet for the anxiety that came with it. Today, Lee’s woodworking has grown into a successful side venture, and his appreciation for craftsmanship is evident in not only his woodworking, but in his career as a life-long electrician.

Andy Mulder

Andy Mulder is a hardscape business owner based out of northwest Indiana where he and his crew are moving acres of earth every day, and hardscaping some of the most valuable properties in the midwest. Since he was 15, Andy has pulled on a pair of welted work boots every morning before heading to work, and with that much first-hand experience, we knew he was the right guy to collaborate with on our first ever welted boot design. His years of working on uneven terrain in rough conditions helped us hone the Mulder into a boot that he can rely on just as much as the heavy machinery in his garage.

Jeremy Perkins

Jeremy Perkins is a former diesel mechanic, a Coast Guard veteran, and the owner of a working farm in Maine. He also leads the community team here at BRUNT, and is the voice behind our Bucket Talk podcast. A self-made man who always thrives in the face of adversity, Jeremy has never shied away from a challenge and has earned every success that’s come his way - which is why he was the perfect guy to name our rugged Perkins boot after.

Dan Bolduc

After starting his career as a plumber, Dan Bolduc now manages and operates the entire water treatment process for Eric's hometown of Bristol, Connecticut. Dan’s day-to-day requires a tall boot that’s waterproof and comfortable, which is why we worked together to develop the Bolduc boot.
