The Marin 8” Welted Waterproof (Comp Toe) is a heavy-duty boot built from leathers sourced from U.S. steer - the highest quality hides available. At 2 lb. 7 oz (size 9) with a welted construction, it delivers premium, durable materials without the extra bulk.

Our leather is a natural material that develops natural wear over time. How your boots age depends on your work environment and how you care for them. We recommend BRUNT’s Leather Conditioner to help you get the most out of your work boots. This proprietary blend of mink oil, beeswax, and natural additives protects and extends the life of your leather. The mink oil replenishes natural oils, while the beeswax seals them in and adds a barrier against scuffs and tough jobsite conditions. For best results, apply with our 100% horsehair brush - built for precise cleaning and conditioning.

Because of their reinforced build, welted boots are built to take a beating and they provide a higher degree of stabilization for your foot and ankle which makes navigating uneven footing much easier. And because of the mechanical bond created in the welting process, a Goodyear welt has best-in-class waterproofing, plus a resoleable design that allows you to replace the outsole to extend the overall life of the boot.

When it comes to a welted boot, think uneven terrain and unpredictable conditions. A welted boot is incredibly durable by nature and is best suited for heavy-duty jobs. To name a few specific trades who would benefit from a welted boot: road workers, commercial builders, pipefitting and welding, resource extraction, railroad, linemen, and waste workers.

A Goodyear welted work boot features an additional midsole layer that’s built into the boot to create torsional rigidity for additional stability and durability. This welt is formed by connecting the upper part of a shoe to the midsole of the shoe in a three step process: stapling the upper to the insole, stitching the upper to the insole, and then stitching the upper and the midsole together. This physical entanglement of fibers creates a very strong mechanical bond between the two main parts of the shoe, and provides a very durable build with a high degree of waterproofness. It also allows the outsole of the boot to be replaced—or “resoled”—after extended periods of hard use.

    Great Boots

    So as a LTL truck driver I am constantly in and out of the truck. Finding a pair of boots that are comfortable for 14 - 16 hours and live up to what the are said to be is hard. After reading reviews and people recommending Brunt boots I decided to try them. I ordered these boots and have had them for two weeks now. The first week was rough breaking them in. The second week....much better. I needed a pair of boots that hold up the abuse I put them through daily. I deliver to all kinds of different places, from chemical plants all the way to farms. I literally walk through mud, ****, ****, oil, gas, everything!!! The slip resistance on these boots are the best i have found. The only complaint I have is the comp toe. I feel the comp toe of both my little toes. Thinking about getting a second pair to wear out around town haha. Highly recommend Brunt boots.

    Marin 8” boots

    At first, they came in the wrong size. Brunt was very quick to get me the correct size here as the other size was being sent back. Received in a very fast manner. Love the Boots.

    Disappointed

    I see the boots are famous now and expensive, it was bound to happen eventually. Disappointing, but this always happens when a good quality boot at a good price. Eventually it becomes popular amongst the blue collar workers until the white collar class discovers it. Then they really start to sell, they start flying off the shelves. Eventually someone gets the idea that hey we make a really great boot, we should raise our prices or come up with a better blue collar boot and raise the price. Who cares if the blue collar workers can afford it, we’re so popular that it won’t matter, will still make money and eventually the blue collar workers will buy our boots even if they can afford it or not. And I’m a local 40 iron worker. You don’t have my profession list amongst the other trades
