Our leather is a natural material that develops natural wear over time. How your boots age depends on your work environment and how you care for them. We recommend BRUNT’s Leather Conditioner to help you get the most out of your work boots. This proprietary blend of mink oil, beeswax, and natural additives protects and extends the life of your leather. The mink oil replenishes natural oils, while the beeswax seals them in and adds a barrier against scuffs and tough jobsite conditions. For best results, apply with our 100% horsehair brush - built for precise cleaning and conditioning.

Because of their reinforced build, welted boots are built to take a beating and they provide a higher degree of stabilization for your foot and ankle which makes navigating uneven footing much easier. And because of the mechanical bond created in the welting process, a Goodyear welt has best-in-class waterproofing, plus a resoleable design that allows you to replace the outsole to extend the overall life of the boot.

When it comes to a welted boot, think uneven terrain and unpredictable conditions. A welted boot is incredibly durable by nature and is best suited for heavy-duty jobs. To name a few specific trades who would benefit from a welted boot: road workers, commercial builders, pipefitting and welding, resource extraction, railroad, linemen, and waste workers.

A Goodyear welted work boot features an additional midsole layer that’s built into the boot to create torsional rigidity for additional stability and durability. This welt is formed by connecting the upper part of a shoe to the midsole of the shoe in a three step process: stapling the upper to the insole, stitching the upper to the insole, and then stitching the upper and the midsole together. This physical entanglement of fibers creates a very strong mechanical bond between the two main parts of the shoe, and provides a very durable build with a high degree of waterproofness. It also allows the outsole of the boot to be replaced—or “resoled”—after extended periods of hard use.

    Fantastic work

    I was very surprised to see how well this boot was made. Very happy with the comfort so far. The boot is stiff at first but that is to be expected with a welted boot. I wish you guys made an unlined version I can tell these will be warm in the summer. Overall you guys did a great job on this boot.

    Best Boots by Far

    I am on my second pair of these boots IN 3yrs. I work in the telecom industry so I am in all elements during the year. We really put our boots to the test. Not only do I wear them at work. Most of the time I wear them outside of work. I would buy a second pair but these boots are so well made I don't need to. I am only replacing them a little earlier because of a ride on the motorcycle. Riding 6hrs in the pouring rain and the stitching on one boot is just now coming *****. Cant help dry rot no matter what.. I've been buying boots for the last 30+ yrs now from Cat, Ariat, Justin, you name it. I will never go back after wearing these boots. GREAT JOB BRUNT!!
